MY EXPERIENCE: BEGINNING
Readers you are warned. Once you start you will be hooked.
Rawrr, I mean hello everyone. I am Sherlyn. When I was 14 years old, something unexplainable happened to me. It was not an isolated incident but a series of unexplainable incidents which had, at that time had taken a turmoil on me.
In 2008, my dad got transfered to Nagrakata, which is a remote village in West Bengal. As my dad was an railway employee, we were accustomed to shifting places from childhood. However this place was something which scared both me and my brother the most. Our quarters (government houses given to us) was located near the Jaldhaka river, next to which was the forest.
The first incident which I remember, was when I was home alone with my mom. My brother being small had got the privilege to go with my dad to the market. I was in the kitchen doodling an imaginary battle, when I heard someone calling for help. I looked over my shoulders to the window and froze. I saw my mom fall down into the river in slow motion. I rushed out to help but on the gate my mom caught me and asked “where are you running away to?” My eyes widened and for a few sec I just kept staring at her. The incident playing over and over my head again. I managed to blurt out “I saw someone fall in the river”. My mom laughed. “The river isn't that deep, why are you so concerned” she added with a smile. I did feel stupid in that moment. I had been to the river countless times and should have known that the river was only knee deep. I didn't reveal the fact that the person whom I saw falling was her. That night I got one heck of a fever which lasted 2 days. I think this was the first incident and it just started getting worse from here on.
